Sibelius Hall
Concert and congress centre Sibelius Hall in Lahti

Established in spring 1995, Theatre Vanha Juko is a group of free professional actors who perform at a former movie theatre. The artists want to show people something that has never before been experienced in Lahti. The theatre building is protected by the National Board of Antiquities, and its is a living room for everybody where you can come and enjoy a show after a hard day’s work, for example.

The special features of the church include two aisles, star vaults with embossed ring ornaments and wooden carvings of historical importance. Entry to the church is through an Empire-style bell tower designed by C.L. Engel. The decoration of the west gable is among the most beautiful in Finland.
