Aviation Museum

The Päijät-Häme Aviation Museum is situated in Asikkala, in the Lahti-Vesivehmaa airfield ( EFLA).

Päijät-Häme Aviation Museum is managed by Lahden Ilmasilta Ry (LIS). Lahden Ilmasilta Ry (LIS) was founded on November 15th, 1962. LIS acts as a meeting forum of people who have dedicated themselves to aviation.

The museum is loacated in an old hangar that was built in 1940.

The following planes are on display in the aviation museum:

AERO A-32 (1929 – 1944), BLACKBURN-RIBON II F (1931 – 1944), CAUDRON C. 59 (1923 – 1931), CAUDRON-RENAULT C.R. 714, FOLLAND GNAT F.1 (1958 – 1974), FOUGA MAGISTER CM 170 (1958 – 1988), I.V.L. D.26 HAUKKA I (1927), I.V.L.K.1 KURKI, V.L.E.30 KOTKA II (1930 – 1944), MIG-15 UTI (1962 – 1978), MIG-21 BIS (1978-1998), DRAKEN 35 S (1972 -2000), MIL MI 8P (1978 – 2004), VAMPIRE Mk 55 (1955 – 1965) and KASSEL 12A.

There are also parts of the following planes on display: Tupolev SB-2, LaGG-3, MiG-3, JU-88, Bristol Blenheim and VL PYRY II

Open: June, July, August and September. Every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5 pm (apart from 25.6-26.6, when the museum is closed). For other times please contact museum in advance.
